Hello Friends of Kidding Around!
May the 4th be with you!
Looks we have an exciting week ahead of us! We all know being home can be tough. Celebrating made up holidays or real ones can break up a rather boring week. Below are resources filled with ideas to help you celebrate these holiday and acknowledge some very special people.
- May 4th-Star Wars Day
- May 5th- Cinco De Mayo
- May 6th- National Teachers Day
- May 7th- National Nurses Day
Cinco de Mayo is a day that commemorates a small victory against the French during the Franco Mexican War, not to be confused with Mexico's Independence Day (September 16th). It is a festive time to share tradition and celebrate Mexican culture. So tomorrow why not make some traditional Mexican food, listen to mariachi music, maybe learn Jarabe Tapatío aka the Mexican Hat dance and introduce your child to amazing artists like Frida and Diego Rivera with coloring pages.
Also this week we show our appreciation to some of the most important people working and risking their lives today. Teachers and Nurses we thank you for all your hard work! Everyone now more than ever, should share with their kids the importance of these careers and recognize the amazing people working in these fields. Make a sign, give a gift, share a photo on social media, write a thank you card, just a few small ways you can say thank you!
We're saying thanks! by offering 15% off to nurses and teachers this week. Enter discount code THANKYOU2020 at checkout. Promotion ends May 8th.
